Spree was created by the Sunline Candy Company later in the mid 60's was renamed Sunmark Corporation, of St. Louis, Mo. Spree's were an idea of an employee named John Scout. In the 1970s the brand was bought by Nestlé, which marketed the candy under the Willy Wonka brand. The wonka name be gone and Sprees may be produced by Ferrara Candy and owned by Ferrero but one thing is for sure, The Original Sprees, deliciously sweet and just the right amount of tantalizing candy coated Tartness for your taste buds.
